The Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) across Pakistan has announced the resumption of its hearings starting from tomorrow, Monday. This is according to a notification issued by the ATIR headquarters in Islamabad.
All ATIR benches located in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Multan have been made functional, following a Law and Justice Division notification. The Chairman (BS-22) of the ATIR in Islamabad, Sarfraz Ali Khan, has been given the responsibility to look after the position.
Starting from Monday, January 30th, all ATIR benches will resume their hearing of cases in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Multan. This comes after a temporary shutdown of the ATIR benches due to the sudden death of its Chairman.
The ATIR headquarters in Islamabad issued the notification on Saturday, informing the public of the resumption of the tribunal’s operations.
